Central Texas Trio Accepted to Dance Intensive

Many of you may know Alyson Gaume, Jennifer McDaniel, and Aurora Klein, 3 of our many highly talented dancers at RRRDC.

These talented young women were accepted into the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School's Summer Jazz and Contemporary Dance Intensive and invited to participate in both the New York City and Miami programs through an intense audition process. Gaume will be attending the Miami program July 25-Aug. 7. Aurora and Jennifer will be attending the NYC program Aug. 8-21. Both intensives culminate in performances.

Aurora has also auditioned for Joffrey Ballet School's year long program in New York and has been invited and will be attending Joffrey her senior year of high school 2010-2011. She will be moving to New York at the end of summer and will graduate via correspondence through Georgetown High School.

The Joffrey Ballet School was founded in 1953 by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino to develop and train professional dancers. The school continues to strive for the founders' vision of dance based on rigorous classical training. In more than 50 years of existence, the Joffrey Ballet School has remained on the forefront of American dance education. Graduates of the school have gone on to dance for major classical ballet companies, as well as numerous modern and contemporary companies, both in the US and abroad.
